The Boss Guy
Blue Sky Sportfishing is owned and operated by semi-ex-pat Brit, Steve
Brown.
A lifelong aficionado of fresh water angling, in recent years Steve
discovered the thrill of going after the big guys on the open water and
pursues it with the same passion he has always had for angling.
A former part-time
fly fishing guide for Salmon and Sea Trout in Wales and Ireland, Steve has
fished fresh and saltwater in UK, Ireland, Canada, Florida, New England
(US), Kenya, Australia and Thailand. Sailed in SW England, Wales and
Ireland and made one trans-Atlantic crossing. An avid collector of all things angling, he has an extensive
collection of antique gear and an impressive collection of
fishing books and magazines, and is author of several journal articles on
related subjects. A businessman in the U.K. (home construction among
other things), in the Philippines Steve is above all a fisherman and a good
mate for a chat over a bite and a brew... and a damned good karaoke crooner,
when he's neither too much nor too little in his cups.
The
Boat Guys
Skipper: Captain Rico
A native Cebuano, Rico is a veteran licensed skipper who knows the waters,
the fish and the islands of the Visayas as well as anyone. An affable chap
- as are most Filipinos - Rico's a pleasure to be onboard with. A fair-to-middling karaoke singer.
Junmar: Boat Boy
A former free dive fisherman from Badian, Cebu, 22 year old Junmar is the
guy who keeps the boat and everything on it together. He passionately
pursues two things in life: fish and girls (not necessarily in that order).
We're sure he knows his way around fish but as for the other... A good lad.
A god-awful karaoke
singer.

Some
Other Guy
John Bennett
As far as we know, despite having his PADI scuba certification, John is
sometimes prone to seasickness, could not navigate his way out of the club, and has never been known to actually catch a
saltwater fish. Not sure why he is here. Ah, yes... he handles this website
and various other dubious matters for Blue Sky. A dynamite karaoke singer - but only
sings sappy Korean ballads. Go figure.
