You could get on a plane in New York and in a few hours land in L.A. or San Francisco. Technically, you'd have seen America. Yeah right. Or, you could hop in your car or your recreational vehicle and spend months crossing the country, and, for America, that would be the way to do it.

Well, it's the same with the Philippines. It might be only a fraction of the size of America or Europe, but you cannot "see" it from an airplane - or even by car. What highways are to America, the water is to the Philippines.
